In the trip of 2001, envelopes carrying deadly anthrax were delivered to US Senate offices, reticulated news divisions, and a tabloid journal. Five people were killed, many greater degree of infected, and the nation was terrorized. Seven years later, about mistakenly pursuing one suspect, one of the ~ly expensive and complex investigations ever undertaken through the FBI ended when they identified Army scientist Dr. Bruce Ivins in the same proportion that the sole perpetrator of the attacks - from Ivins had taken his own life. Now, of the present day questions are being raised about the FBI's investigative methods and whether Ivins actually did it. FRONTLINE, in a co-extension with ProPublica, and McClatchy Newspapers, takes a unyielding look at the FBI's investigation of the country's most evident act of bioterrorism.
